Severe Weather Update 4: March 2026 Kona Low Storm
Details
The passing Kona Low Storm will continue to bring heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding through the weekend. As we enter the latter part of the week and into the weekend, high winds will become an increasing threat.
Use caution outdoors and limit travel if at all possible when severe weather conditions are present.
- A High Wind Watch is in effect from Thursday evening through Saturday night. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected.

- A Special Weather Statement has been issued for the state highlighting the threat of flooding and concern about severe thunderstorms.
The City and County of Honolulu continues preparation for, and response to impacts from, the storm. The Bus, Skyline, and Handi-van services are operating as normal at this time.
