Incident Type: Wahiawa Dam Levels Trending Down


Location: AREAS DOWNSTREAM of WAHIAWA DAM including PARTS OF HALEIWA AND WAIALUA


Alert Details:

Officials continue to monitor conditions at Wahiawa Dam. Water levels are trending down. Heavy rains are still forecast for the next couple of hours, but the improving conditions at the dam make it less likely an evacuation will be necessary. Remain prepared to leave if conditions change. 


Actions to Take   

Continue to monitor for updates as weather conditions may change.

Residents experiencing weather impact who need a safe place to stay can use one of the open emergency shelters. 

Shelters are located at Waialua High and Intermediate School, Wahiawa District Park, and Kahuku Elementary School. A full list of locations can be found at https://p.veoci.com/hnlshelter.


Stay Informed

Emergency officials will send a update within four hours when the current band showers passes and t is no longer a threat.
